Fleetwood Mac - Landslide

If it does mean anything, to you, that is.

Just wondering.

It's always been a powerful song to me.

Just a late night thought, before turning in...

1. wow, haven't heard that in ages
I think she's going through a hard time and realizing that she can deal with the hardships even though it is painful. I'm wondering if this is about her breakup with Lindsay Buckingham (lol, not many Fleetwood Mac songs weren't, lol).

:hi:

3. For me it's about the conflict between the person I am, and
the image that I (sometimes) try to pull off as myself. (the landslide will bring it down)

We create these false selves because we suffer from self doubt (Can the child within my heart rise above, Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides, Can I handle the seasons of my life)

It's a frightening prospect to drop the fantasy image we've worked so hard to present to the world (Ive been afraid of changing
cause Ive built my life around you)

But eventually we find the courage (time makes you bolder)

For me, this song always invokes an image of myself emerging from a chrysalis...
I agree that it's powerful. :hi:
