It is official! The iPhone sucks because it won't work without an AT&T plan!!!!

Of course, one cannot expect it to work as a phone without a cell phone plan. But a lot of people wanted to use it with wi-fi to surf the web and as an iPod and a PDA, now it looks like for some unnecessary reason, they won't be able to unless they have an AT&T plan the entire time!!!! THE iPHONE SUCKS NOW!!!!! Ha ha ha ha!

I have a paper calendar and address book. I don't need a cell phone, except for emergencies in the car. I have an iPod I use when exercising and that's about it.

I don't need to surf the web on a 2" screen. Nor do I need some jack-o-nutz sending me email on my fscking phone-- even though I work tech support and have to be available.

People don't "need" half the shit they have dangling off their belts. It's just ridiculous.

but it's nice to have equipment that is multipurpose. Problem is, this isn't as multipurpose as is advertised.

Maybe when the kinks have been ironed out I'll look into it-but that will be quite a long time from now.

for Cingular (now AT&T) to provide the service of Apple mobile phone services. not sure what Apple is getting, probably some r&d costs, maybe a kickback on service, who knows? but these deals are common among new phones (the RAZR was only available at Cingular for a while) the only difference is the time frame.
