Hey, be gentle.
I just came back from getting an ultrasound, um someplace very, very sensitive. You'd think they'd be careful where they're pushing and how hard. If you thought I was walking funny before... x(

Please keep your fingers crossed that the lump is just a harmless cyst. It is simply going to go away all by itself. Cancer runs strong in both sides of my family. Both of my parents are survivors. But it's totally going to skip me.

Actually, I'm not worried. I've got so many medical things happening at once I've reached the burn-out stage. At this point, I just want it to be either good news, or very, very bad news. I'd be happy either way.

7. Not very well, which is why I'm burning out.
I am having bad enough balance problems that I fell twice yesterday. My hands improved, but only partially, and I'm still down about 50%. So when I fall I am not strong enough to catch myself.

I'm frustrated. :(

2. Sending you light, ThomCat.
Nobody likes having their "party parts" disturbed, and CMW's gonna get plenty of that in his middle age, given the prevalence of cancer on the paternal side of his family. Good vibes to you.

It's the only health issue I've had so far that's probably nothing, and definitely not painful. If only everything could be like that. :)

6. I had the exact same thing...
done 2 months ago.

Result: Cysts.

More than likely, that will be your result to. They are extremely common. If it is something more than cysts....extremely high cure rate in this area.

Wishing you well, and best of luck my friend.

8. Gentle thoughts
I got a cortisone shot in my knee the other day - the doctor jammed the needle in there like he was poking it into a grapefruit. x( Some of these people have no bedside manner.

Cancer is going to skip you and it is just a harmless cyst. It's getting smaller as we speak. :)

9. I totally get the being happy either way.
However, I wish you good news. Having just gone through a mammogram after waiting four years since the last one, I was sweating things out a bit myself. Plus, getting a mammogram ain't exactly comfortable either when you are pressed into the thinness of a dime.

I got fingers crossed for ya, my friend.

24. It amazes me that doctors haven't found some better way
to do breast exams. I have sympathy pain just thinking about it. x(

As bad as it is though, we all need to keep giving money to fund more mamograms for poor women. I am glad you went and had one done. Too many women don't.

I have more tests to go to for other things, and one more new specialist I have to visit. Please keep your fingers crossed for a little while. I could definitely use the good thoughts for a few days. :)

I'm a tad incorrigible so there's no guarantee about later.

Seriously, I hope that not only is it something benign but that it's already in the process of going away on its own.
