Part Of Salt Lake City Locked Down Thanks To Suspicious Trumpet
Edited on Thu Jun-28-07 02:00 PM by matcom
If any of you have seen the top of the shaft of the Mormon Temple you will know why i'm :rofl:

on edit:

<snip>

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A suspicious package left outside a fast-food restaurant Wednesday turned out to be a trumpet that has sounded its last note.

Someone noticed a suspicious package, and several blocks were closed down for about two hours as police investigated.

A robot detonated the case - and the fears were resolved.

"Some very alert citizens watched this package for a considerable amount of time and then they called the police thinking it didn't look right," Salt Lake City police Detective Gary Trost said.

"Gratefully enough, it was just a trumpet."

6. Buncha fuckin' cowards. They blew it up?! Open the fucking thing first, assrots.
When the hotel up the street from my office (in Manhattan) had a suspicious suitcase, they closed off the street, brought the suitcase out to the middle of the street (this was at 52nd and 7th Avenue, BTW, about April of 2002), put a guy in a protective suit and had him open it up.

I watched the whole thing out my office window. It was quite fascinating.

But they didn't feel the need to fuckin' blow it up first.

God.
