And now, Deep Thoughts, by DU
Okay, you all know about Deep Thoughts (unless you were really stoned in the 90s, in which case, go here). Considering the fact that we are all smart here (present company expected), why not come up with our own deep thoughts?

I'll start; cue the piano music.

I like to think that deep down, people of different races and religions all want pretty much the same thing: to serve as my slaves.

There, I set the bar low. Who's next?

1. I doubt that anyone really wants to serve as your slave!

2. You're ruining my world view!
You're not a very nice slave.

If I don't get some deep thoughts, I'm putting my clothes back on!

You've been warned!

5. My deep thought of the day...
Ever have one of those days where you feel like a toddler strapped in a child seat placed in the rearward facing
jump seat in the far back of a very large station wagon flying down a two-lane road towing a trailer filled with
your Dad's cheap gasoline stockpile and 4th of July fireworks between two siblings who are having a slap-fight while
your Parents fight over directions in the front as they are simultaneously fighting off a Hitcheresque carjacker?

Ever feel that way?

7. I'll play:
Last fall, I noticed the squirrels scampering to and fro. They were gathering, gathering for the coming cold time. They were such hard-working little guys, and I admired their tenacity and resolve. I admired them so much, in fact, that I decided to be like the squirrels.

Sure, it's hard wearing a big strap-on bushy tail, and I hate it when I get spun around on the corn cob feeder, but the satisfaction of finding an acorn I buried months ago makes up for all that.

10. another:
One year I decided to plant a garden with my child. The Earth has many lessons to teach little ones. Together, we tilled the rich earth and planted our peppers and tomatoes and beans. When the seedlings come up, we were thrilled. Every day we went to the garden to tend it. We hoed our patch of earth and quenched its thirst with water. We gave the plants rich compost, and carefully removed insects from their delicate leaves.

One day, we got sick of all the frickin' work and ripped everything out by the roots. My child learned that some things are just too much damn trouble, and they have supermarkets, you know.
