12. I should have given credit...
...to Lazarus for posting the streaming audio link in GD. All I did was check the site's source code so I could find the link to the downloadable file, rather than just the streaming audio.

God he practicly MS3K'd the speech :D

I love him, he would be such a good anti-Rush radio host

We got the support of El Salvador! And Rwanda.

What's the rap song at the end?

4. I listened to the whole thing
and I have to say that Al Franken is one of the most effective speakers the left has for refuting the conservative agenda. Alot of progressives get caught up in emotion and can't quite seem to put forth a logical rebuttal to * and his ilk's deceptions.

But, Mr. Franken is so eloquent and reasoned in his assesments of what is really going on in America. I am so glad that he has signed up for the liberal talk radio gig. He deserves all of our support !

5. He does need to get his facts straight
I'm not saying he isn't a great speaker.. he IS, and as fun and great this mp3 was he did say some factual errors.. most importantly the Denmark has only a hospital or something like that.

Well they have troops and everything.. He has to become better at that once he has a radio show.

6. He said in the MP3 that
they had sent a medical unit to Iraq. Where are you getting the information that they have actually sent troops into the fighting in Iraq ? I'm not flaming you Kamika, but I am curious, because to the best of my knowledge, Britain and Australia were the only "coalition" countries that actually sent in troops alongside AMerican soldiers.

8. ahem
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3157877.stm

--snip
Corporal Preben Pedersen, 34, is the first Danish soldier to be killed since Denmark sent a contingent of about 400 troops to Iraq in July.
--snap
200 of those soldiers are infantery, 200 support.

7. my thoughts exactly
I disliked Moore making fun of Denmark's Iraq commitment, now the same goes for Franken. I don't think 200 soldiers is that few for a nation with five million citizens. Same thing for Bulgaria, they have soldiers in Iraq, and they have lost soldiers in Iraq.

Bottom line: I don't think that those nations were right for sending their troops to Iraq, but making fun of the Soldiers who risk their lives (or even lost it) because of their Government's decision is not right. Even worse is denying their existence.

10. hey, no problem
I liked most of the record as well. It's just that Franken really has to check his facts. I can't stand RWers "forgetting" about the European troops in Afghanistan; Franken can do a lot better than this.

:hi:
