And it's not even a beaujolais.

Let the flogging begin. That is all.

8. From the link:
"Proponents of British beer say that it relies on subtler flavours than that of other nations, and these are brought out by serving it at a temperature that would make other beers seem harsh. Where harsher flavours do exist in beer (most notably in those brewed in Yorkshire), these are traditionally mitigated by serving the beer through a hand pump fitted with a sparkler, a device that mixes air with the beer, oxidising it slightly and softening the flavour."

That seem pretty accurate in my experience.

4. Red wine should be enjoyed at room temperature....
...which is 85 degrees Fahrenheit right now in our house. I store my reds in the fridge and if I forgot to chill one, I'll add some ice cubes, too.

Sometimes I even add some sprite to make a spritzer :)

Enjoy :toast:

13. The "room temp" thing is misinterpreted.
Room temp when it concerns red wine means about 60 degrees, so if it's warm where you are, use the rule of 20 (take your chilled wine out of the fridge 20 minutes before you plan to drink it, and put the bottle of red IN the fridge for 20 minutes before you plan to drink it).

7. My FIL used to slice fresh peaches into his glass of red wine
Really looked refreshingly delicious. Never tried it as I'm not partial to peaches (except Soupy's girlfriend).

I drink good (as in $20+ a bottle) Calif cabs as a reward for giving up smoking. On a hot day, what's a couple of ice cubes.

11. An Argentinian friend of mine who is lucky enough to have a
very nice villa in Italy ALWAYS adds Perrier or San Pellegrino and a big twist of lime to his merlot (or whatever red he's drinking). He wants wine with every meal, and this is a good way to go through a bottle of wine at lunch w/o feeling loggy afterward.

It is really quite good.

12. Ah, go all out. Shave a mess o ice and make a sno-cone
I like reds in winter and whites in summer. Whites take to a good chilling better and I do enjoy a spritzer in the heat.

Champagne is for anytime there is a reason. And Havocdad can come up with lots of reasons.
