We have a Beagle houseguest tonight.

Her name is Lucy.
Her mom and dad are out of town until Monday.
She's our 'Next Door Dog'.

Next Door Dogs are great.
You rarely have to feed them and you NEVER have to take them to the vet or pay those bills.
They come to visit.
Especially if there's a thunderstorm in the area.
They come with you on your morning walk.
And chase cars.
And crap in front of people's mailboxes.
And roll in dead roadkill.

People look at you and frown.
"Why don't you have your dog on a leash?"
"She's not my dog."
I'm gettin' a T shirt that says
SHE'S NOT MY DOG!
