Firdt lady Laura Bush, right, is applauded by Alma Powell, wife of Secretary of State Colin Polin, center, Washington Mayor Anthony Williams, second from lower left, and others as she arrives for President Bush (news - web sites)'s State of the Union speech to a joint session of Congress on Capitol Hill Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004. You got your true Patriots

and then you got your "Patriot Act-ors"

Brady was just a pawn in this, being used for rah-rah political mileage -- another shameless PR stunt by BushCo.

2. He seemed like he could care less..
As a Patriots fan, he looked non-plussed the whole time. He barely applauded at anything. Anyway, Brady is a true gentleman and would not show blatant disrespect towards * or his wife. I was sick at first thinking that * would use Tom as a SOTU prop. Very glad he did not. GO PATS!!!!!!!!!

4. Brady is no Mark Chimura
Remember that scumsucker from the Packers who refused to go to the WH by stating he didn't want to meet with "that pervert"?

Then he gets busted for plying a 15 year old with booze and banging her in a bathroom!

6. Tom Brady is a Big D Democrat
when you are invited to the SOTU you go.

You will see him supporting senator Kerry in Mass this March, Count on it.

I guess this means * has money on the pats though doesn't it?

I didn't know that. I'm not being smart here I just didn't know that.

You are right if you are invited you go and act civil.

9. yeah. he has said it in the past
but I get the feeling he will go pretty low key for the time being. I do think he will stump or at least photo op for Kerry either in March or for real at the convention.

I would have to really convince myself its a good thing but as a citizen when you are the invited guest of the first lady you pretty much go, no matter how you feel about things.

11. He was supposed to host a Kerry fundraiser at his home
I think I read that in either the gossip section of Boston Magazine or the Boston Herald. One of the free rags on the street-the Improper Bostonian mentioned it also.

Braden is right-you don't turn down an invite to the SOTU.

12. drudge is reporting that Brady is backing *
don't be surprised to hear Brady denounce that. Apparently he is a pretty hot endorsement that both campaigns desperatly want.

Political football if you will.

and did you notice, here are the soldiers from the TIME magazine and Bush did not acknowledge them, no mention of names...they look real uncomfortable too.

Go Pats...shake off that visit Tom Brady and...Back To The Game! :-)

I thought that their demeanor was very telling to say the least.
