Recommend me a few legal thrillers books OTHER than John Grisham |
|
I've already read Scottline, Bernhardt.
I'll also accept medical thrillers as long as it isn't Robin Cook.

1. "Anatomy Of A Murder"- Robert Traver |
|
Best Courtroom Novel of all-time, IMO: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/t/robert-traver/anatomy-of-murder.htmThis happened in the UP of Michigan, where a good chunk of my family is from. Unbeatable atmosphere and dialouge...

I love legal thrillers, and have read all of Grisham (as far as I know).
On the other hand, they made a movie out of Grisham's non-legal thriller "A Painted House"...I watched it three times one weekend; they did a really great job on it and I love the story, I hope he writes more non-legal stuff.

James Patterson - he of the nursey-rhyme titled books - writes police procedurals that largely suck. James Patterson North, on the other hand, is quite good, though he can get pretty preachy about certain subjects.

7. 'The Lincoln Lawyer' by Michael Connelly might interest you |
|
I'm not sure it would entirely qualify as a legal thriller, but it is about a lawyer...

8. True life crime stories are better. Truth is stranger than fiction. |
|
I have spent all my working life in law, as a legal secretary and court reporter.
I recommend Blood and Money - Tommy Thompson Fatal Vision Helter Skelter The Stranger Beside Me
And there are lots of others. The true crime novel was invented by Truman Capote with "In Cold Blood".

11. I read this one legal thriller, I think it was called |
|
"Dead Even." Brad Meltzer wrote it. Wife versus husband in court, lives at stake. This was a while ago, but I really enjoyed it.
