You may have some luck googling "navy locator service." I've attempted it and its borderline difficult. I've pursued shipmates the old fashioned way, tracking them down through mutual shipmates. I've been lucky enough to keep up with many but there are some I'd really like to share another beer with just one more time. I wish you luck in your search.

You also might check out www.goatlocker.org if it is a Chief you are looking for. They have websites of old Chiefs and some organizations are listed.
