Leaving the country because of ShrubCo.?
If so, I found the perfect anthem for you...

When passion's lost and all the trust is gone,
Way too far, for way too long
Children crying, cast out and neglected,
Only in a world so cold, only in a world this cold
Hold the hand of your best friend, look into their eyes,
Then watch them drift away
Some might say, we've done the wrong things,
For way too long, for way too long

Fever inside the storm,
So I'm turning away,
Away from the name
(calling your names)
Away from the stones
(throw sticks and stones)
'Cause I'm through mending the wounds of us

Keep your thorns
'Cause I'm running away,
Away from the games
(fucking head games)
Away from the space
(hate this head space)
The circumstances of a world so cold

Burning whispers, remind me of the days,
I was left alone, in a world this cold
Guilty of the same things, provoked by the cause,
I've left alone, in a world so cold
Fever inside the storm,
So I'm turning away,
Away from the name
(calling your names)
Away from the stones
(throw sticks and stones)
'Cause I'm through mending the wounds of us

Keep your thorns,
'Cause I'm running away,
Away from the games
(fucking head games)
Away from the space
(hate this head space)
The circumstances of a world so cold

I'm flying, I'm flying away,
Away from the names
(calling your names)
Away from the games
(fucking head games)
The circumstances of a world so cold

Why does everyone feel like my enemy,
Don't want any part of depression or darkness, I've had enough,
Sick and tired, bring the sun, or I'm gone, or I'm gone

I'm backing out, I'm no pawn,
No mother-fucking slave to this,
Never lied
Never left
Never lived
Never loved
Never lost
Never hurt
Never worry about being me, or anyone else
Not a care, no concern, don't give a shit about anything,

Backing out, giving up, no mother-fucking slave to this,
Never lied
Never left
Never lived
Never loved
Never lost
Never hurt
Never worry about being me, or anyone else
Not a care, no concern, don't give a shit about anything,

I need to find a darkened corner,
A lightless corner,
Where it's safer and calmer,

I'm turning away,
Away from the name
(calling your names)
Away from the stones
(throw sticks and stones)
'Cause I'm through mending the wounds of us

I'm running away,
Away from the games
(fucking head games)
Away from the space
(hate this head space)
The circumstances of a world so cold

I'm flying, I'm flying away,
Away from the names
(calling your names)
Away from the games
(fucking head games)
The circumstances of a world so cold

Do you think his vocal chords bleed? I think they must fuckin' GUSH (Hafta hear it to understand)!

That's probably (in my opinion) Mudvayne's only *REALLY GOOD* song. And I also think it suits me cuz I really want to leave this country up to you. I'd love nothing more than to step far away and watch you all fight it out. I wasn't even introduced to politics until 9-11 (Yes, Der Fuhrer's favorite "invocation") happened. Actually, my mother introduced me to Bill Clinton but all I could think about was, "How are me and my friend gonna get drunk tonight? Bill got a BJ?! COOL! That's my prezzz!"

You're stuck with a liberal fighter on the front-lines in Carrollton, TX (Conservative HELL!!!) who has convinced 3 people (so far) to vote demo. And I didn't count myself (that's 4 - mm-hmmm).

The point of my post is just to pump out some lyrics to a song you'll probably never hear. I plan on moving to Canada someday (Vancouver looks and sounds soooo cool), but it won't be anytime soon... unfortunately... at least I think, "unfortunately" until I hear the above song and it inspires me the way the Chimp's "speech" inspired the nazis and I am once again inspired to stay and fight in the name of "justice and liberty." I know! "Justice" and Liberty" in quotations?! What do you think is next? I'm anxious here, I'm in TEXAS of all places!!!!!

1. Here's one from Chris De Burgh:
I've got leather on my shoes
And I've got a dream to live
There is nothing left to lose
So I'm going

I've got a suitcase here in my hand
And I've got a hungry heart
And I'm going to join the millions there before me
Out on Freedom Road

No one's coming to my door
And all my friend's have gone
There's no work here anymore
It's deserted

And though I know I hate to leave
From this land that I love
There's a new tomorrow waiting
Yes, it's shining out on Freedom Road

Oh, sometimes it's going to be lonely
Sometimes it will be sad
But I've got to keep on going
Until I hold that Promised Land
In the palm of my hand

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, or won
Without a hard fight
We would never reach the sun without trying
When we're a million miles from home
Out in the starry night
We will see we're not alone in the heavens

Out on Freedom Road...

4. Country? God no! CdeB is an Irish singer.
He had a hit in the US with "The Lady In Red". This song is called "Leather on My Shoes" from his album "Flying Colours". 'FC' was his follow-up to "Into The Light", the album that 'The Lady In Red' was on. He is a phenomenal singer with incredible songs. His stuff can be hard to get a hold of here in the States, but he's enormously popular throughout the rest of the world.

BTW, his daughter Rosanna, for whom he wrote a song that appears on "Into The Light" was crowned Miss World 2003, representing Ireland. She's gorgeous!

6. Damn...
I searched Kazaa and couldn't find the song... I love the way it ends. Astronomy is an arm-chair hobby of mine. Spirituality is something I'm also deeply exploring. It's too bad bag-pipes aren't used in his music I'm almost sure.... If you correct me I'll just hafta go buy the CD and betray my boycott of RIAA...

7. Nope. no bagpipes.
But many of his songs are deeply spiritual. See if you can find his album "Spanish Train and Other Stories", or "Crusader." There are some marvelously spiritual songs on there. Enjoy!

2. "These Colors Don't Run"
it's not just a convenient Right Wing bumper sticker.

Hope is alive and well. Keep in mind I'm in Florida, I've got a Bush Double Whammy problem here. Canada starts sounding really nice after about 3 minutes of the State of the Union address. Keep your head up.

Oh, and no more Mudvayne for you - it's not good for you. Pick up A Perfect Circle's new album and listen to it. It rocks HAAAARD, but more importantly it's smart and challenging. Or better yet that new Natalie Merchant cd, where's she's covering OOLD folk songs. I'm serious, youve got to take care of your brain.

5. My bro has it...
So, therefore, I have it. I also love it. Damn good album, A Perfect Circle made. Why am I talking this way?

Oh, and I was only "exploring" Mudvayne. I can't seem to convince myself to like any of their songs but, "A World So Cold" and "Dig." Both of those fuckin' ROCK! Hmmm.... Natalie Merchant eh? Is that country? God I hate country... <duck>
