It's a weakness, and a damn ADDICTIVE one. Literally.
People can get used to the chemicals released in the brain by anger or "outrage" to the point that they don't feel normal without a regular fix.
Hence, the popularity of Rush Limbaugh, and the fact that his fans have the same resistance to logic as crack addicts.
