13. Anyway, here's why I ask.

In my case, I found that my family kind of forgot about my birthday every year that I grew older. I'm 48 now, and I feel that it is hardly noticed. And yes, it hurts.

I just phoned my parents and ripped into my Mom. Told her thanks for acknowledging my birthday and I don't need the cheque she sent me.

Yeah, that's right.

I like SOME kind of acknowledgement from my OWN family....she's sorry I'm so upset but "we" called you. (uh, no, Mom, you called me, Dad was golfing remember? Well we didn't have time to call you as we had some more family members over. Whatever.

Maybe I'm being really pissy but I've really lost it today. You know, one person maybe not remembering, whatever, but all my family and so-called friends?

I'm really sensitive by the way. ;)
