3:AM on the East Coast
and I'm hyped up on red wine and Sicko!

Ask me whatever the hell you want. There's a good chance I'll tell you the brutal honest truth!

2. Cathartic
is the word I used in GD. It was CATHARTIC. Because I have felt that we needed universal healthcare for a long time. I mean, since I was little. I have personal and intimate reasons for saying that.

So, SIcko was Cathartic and validating too. I really hope that Sicko does for this generation and healthcare with Sinclair Lewis' The Jungle did for the meat packing industry.

Go see it the first chance you get! You'll be glad you did.

5. Upton Sinclair
but my question is, since I read your response about your ex in the other thread, did your ex inspire your sigline, or was it inspired by something else?

9. D'Oh
you're right. Uption Sinclair.

No, it wasn't my ex.

I have always been fascinated with the idea of public faces juxtaposed with real intentions. After all these years, it still amazes me how often those two aren't the same thing.

12. me too
I wonder about this alot. I wonder if we are hard-wired to respond to certain features, expressions, inflections and cadences for some genetic, evolutionary purpose, or if perhaps people are just stupid.

16. Really, it's moronic
that we don't have universal healthcare in this country.

Rocket science it ain't. Yet, here we are in this mess.
