Just getting over a two day migraine |
|
I had finals Thursday and Friday - started driving to school on Thursday and my eyes started doing nutty things. I knew what that meant and pulled over to take a migraine pill only to find the box I keep in my purse was empty!
So I called my pharmacy, practically babbling in panic as my vision got worse and worse and I knew the headache was soon to follow. Luckily, I had a refill available and the pharmacist assured me she'd have it ready by the time I got there.
Race against my vision to the pharmacy - I could barely see by the time I got there. Naturally there was a line (there's never a line :eyes: ). Popped a pill as soon as I got to the window and went in for my final. Feel pretty good about it amazingly - the headache held off and I didn't start feeling the strange effects of the meds until I was done and driving home.
Had another final on Friday and all that wierd spacey head-full-of-marshmallow-fluff stuff was still going on. No real headache but all the trimmings. Made it through that final too, came home and slept all day.
Finally starting to feel normal again - but a little delicate around the edges. I hate those things! They always make me feel like I'm having a stroke or something. Still, it could be worse - I've had them for a week or more on occassion. :scared:

I sometimes get what I would term a 'migraine'. Usually begins with a pain in my left eye and ends up with excruciating pain down my neck as well. Haven't had one in a very long time and hope not to again. Glad you're feeling better.

2. Wow, that is scary. Glad you are OK now. |

I get them too, but never that bad. TG for the triptans! I wouldn't be able to function without them.

4. I would get the "need to be in a dark, quiet room" migraine. Oy. |
|
I think fluorescent overhead lights (like in classrooms) helped trigger them.
Menopause seems to have cured them. :)
