8. Toasters?
I thought toasters back then were all space-age chrome. Maybe my mom's was just a leftover from the 60s.

5. What he said! :-)
When I was growing up, we always had avocado green for the kitchen. I got used to them.

11. until very recently
I had a toaster with avocado green AND orange on it. When it finally made its last slice of toast I tearfully put it in the trash and replaced it with a sleek new white one that has absolutely no character , no personality <sigh>

4. Although I'd like to say avacado green because of its timeless style,
I have to go with rust brown since that's what color ours were. Yikes.

15. When I was growing up,
the stove and fridge were Avocado Green, and the (shag) carpet and sofa were Harvest Gold.

We got rid of the sofa and carpet when I was around 8, kept the kitchen till I moved out at 18; so I voted green.

22. I had an apartment in Atlanta
that had been done in ALL THREE of those colors in the kitchen. I think I was the only one who didn't care one way or the other what colors were in there. Besides, they matched my three leisure suits.

20. OMG!!!! I have a lavender bathtub too!!!
I hate that damn color, but it's so deep and enamel covered metal instead of that cheap ass fiberglass that I cannot bear to try to rid myself of it.

19. Remember when you could only get phones in those colors or black?
I think when the phones were in that color the 70's "jumped the shark".
