Are the tabloid news channels being sued by Gary Condit? |
|
I was flipping channels on cable and I heard something about a 2 billion dollar lawsuit and they are bitching that it was his fault that he was destroyed. He might have been a jerk but he didn't deserve to be destroyed by the right wing press core.

1. I too heard something along those lines............. |
|
but wasn't listening closely enough to hear who exactly he's aiming the lawsuit at.

He sued Ruppert Murdoch and took away all of his newspapers and cable channels.

4. Yes it most certainly would........... |
|
but I think the public at large is somewhat to blame in this instance; that is, without the demand (for stories like this one), there wouldn't be the supply.

3. Who could blame him if he does? |
|
The man never even got charged with a crime, and yet an awful lot of people had him frying. If a lawsuit is the only recourse that he has, then he should go for it.

because he refused to play their game. Remember the Connie Chung interview? They wanted him to be contrite and cry. He felt he did nothing wrong and resented the intrusion into his life.
As I remember it, he spoke with the police whenever asked. Each time they pronounced that they were satisfied. Then the media would keep harping on it and the cops would give in to them, say he wasn't totally forthcoming, and give the impression he was hiding something.
His wife sued the Enquirer and they settled. I think he has another lawsuit, but I'm not sure who with. I hope it's Faux.
