I'm watching the biggest Diva in the world right now ... La Sting ... and if he can reunite with his band ... why can't "Miss Ross" do it? Granted there will never be a REAL reunion because Florence Ballard is gone ... but why can't Diane .... oppps ... DianA .... patch it up with Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong and sing together just one more time?

1. "you can not re-heat a souflet"
as Paul McCartney once said. Anyway they wouldn't be the Supremes, they'd just be a couple of gals who once sang together. thank god for the shivers they sent me every time they appeared on Hullabaloo & Ed Sullivan.

3. I don't really understand ...
I mean I kind get what your are saying.

Of course without Flo ... of course they will never be "The Supremes". The orginal Supremes were Diane, Mary and Florence. BUT the closest thing would be Diane, Mary and Cindy. Well.... I guess it would have to be that (IMO) grouping of "Diana Ross and The Supremes" which was such bullshit. BUT I would love to see Diane and Mary share the stage again. Cindy Birdsong has been such a major part in the history of The Supremes ..... she has earned that respect.

I'm rambling a bit ... but I still would love to see Diane(a) back on the stage with Mary and Cindy just one more time.

8. I guess it would be similar to a Beatles reunion
It would be the same people but they are very different from the people they were when they were younger. I think the Supremes could pull the singing off just fine I just don't think it would be anything as exciting as they were originally. I didn't want to rain on yer parade and I certainly hope I'm proved wrong. and sure Cindy Birdsong deserves to be in the act.

2. I suspect it will happen
given the success of Dreamgirls, and the piles of cash being raked in by groups like the Police, Duran Duran, Smashing Pumpkins and all the other "reunion" bands, it's just a matter of time until somebody makes Ross an offer she can't refuse.

4. PLUS ......
Diane at the BET Awards thanked Mary from the stage when she got an award.

Let's see what happens. If they tour ... I'll sell my pussy on Santa Moncia Blvd for tickets!

7. Maybe the others don't want a reunion.
Diana Ross has a voice that's weaker than coffee-less coffee and a range that's as high as Death Valley.
