I got to shake Al Gore's hand at yesterday's Live Earth concert
Mind you, I'm up in the 200 level of Giant Stadium (I should have worn my Eagles Jersey - we were suppose to wear Green for the concert). Sometime during Fall Out Boys my friend and I noticed a gathering of people looking into the Luxury Box behind the 226 section (we were 225). I figured it was probably some rock star or hollywood celebrity hanging out in there. We went over to check it out and it was Al Gore. But the way everyone was acting you'd think it was something even greater than a Rock Star & Hollywood Celebrity combined (which it was).

We went out by the door by the luxury box and about 10 minutes later Al Gore left the Luxury Box. He took the time to shake hands of the hundreds of folks now clamoring around that luxury box door. He was actually just passed me when I hollared out "Please run in 2008". He looked back and shook my hand and said 'Thank you for your support'

It was a great concert - amazing! I liked the fact that they had a rotating stage which cut down serious time between acts.

I'm home now and resting. I was going to wait to replace my lightbulbs with CFL once I got to my new condo (which btw - not getting, that's another story) but I'm going to replace all the bulbs in this apartment now. That way the next tennant will benefit from the energy saving lights too.

7. Sounds like you had a great time.
Sorry about the condo. You do know that CFL lights are full of mercury and must be disposed of differently than a normal light bulb to avoid contamination. One downside to them. Look into how you can dispose of them locally.

13. "I'm awake. Are YOU awake?"
It was all incredibly inspiring. How lucky you were to have been there!

BTW, I still get tingly goosebumps when I think about high-fiving Bill about 10 years ago. I realize this says something incredibly sad about my life but damn life sure felt a lot more serene when they were in charge.

16. YET, you somehow failed to wrassle him to the ground
and force him to run, in '08.

I'm only marginally impressed, due to your blatant missed opportunity.

17. Well the fact that he was surrounded by Giant Stadium rent-a-cops hindered that experience
Go figure
