Bush To Critics: "I Will Fart On You" |
|
July 7, 2007 Washington D.C.
President Bush today issued an ominous warning to his critics in both the Democratic camp and in his own Republican party.
At the close of a broad discussion covering issues from immigration to the war in Iraq, the President announced "All I can say to these is that I'd better see a little support on these things, or I'm going to fart on you."
Continued Bush, "It's absolutely crucical that I get the support I deserve, and I swear, if I don't I will - mark my words, will - fart on you."
Critics were swift to respond. "If the President thinks this kind of rhetoric is going to get results, he'd better think again," Democratic leader Harry Reid said at a hastily-convened press conference. " is going to have an awful lot of people to fart on before this is through."
"If I may quote the President himself, bring it on," quipped Reid.
Response from within the Republican party was more muted and deferential, and almosed seemed to welcome the treatment promised by the President. "My mouth is open wide, Mr. President," said Ed Gillespie.

it could possibly be true - I mean, yeah, it sounds like it's from The Onion, but so does most of his presidency nowadays.
