Need good Lounge vibes here... Gave myself a hell of a boo-boo...
I was washing dishes last night, and managed to slice my hand open on the jagged edge of a glass i didn't know was a threat until the moment it bit me.

5 stitches in the webbing of my right hand, between my thumb and index finger.

Ow-fuck-ow... and an unavoidable 3-day break from work for me.
:banghead:
*argh*

1. Sending good vibes, ThankBlue.
That happened to my mom while washing dishes once time when I was a kid. It scared the crap out of mom and all three of us kids; fortunately, my dad had the presence of mind to immediately throw us all into the car for a trip to the ER.

Sorry this happened to you.

2. It happened to my mom, too... but the glass broke...
In my case, there was a chip in the rim, and when i looked at it when i got home, i realized that the edge was hooked like one of those old-fashioned can-openers.

Methnks i'll be buying one of those "sponge on a stick" things for that from now on.

3. Oh no!! That does hurt, you poor thing!
I did that once and nearly sliced off my forefinger knuckle! Ouch!!

I had 13 stitches and arm in a sling for awhile. I feel your pain. :(

After that I bought a sponge on a stick for glass cleaning.

Just think!

Now you'll have a kitchen war story to tell the grandkids and a scar for show and tell! :P

Hope you are feeling much better soon and are quickly on the mend!

4. I have more "klutz scars" than i care to elaborate on...
My right hand is trying to catch up with my left now. *L*

Thanks for the fuzzy, "bouncy" smile!

7. I've got sympathy pains
ouch! Washing dishes should be banned. It's far too dangerous, don't you think?

8. My husband sliced open his leg yesterday and we ended up in the ER.
He was going to the dump with garbage/recycling and one of the bags had a broken beer bottle in it.

Not sure how many stitches because I got creeped out by all the blood and went and sat in the waiting room.

Feel better, ThinkBlue!

12. My poor Deb...
I watched while they cleaned it up and stitched it back together. It was really fascinating! I didn't get grossed-out at all. If I thought I could pass the Calculus classes required for it, I'd consider switching my Major to Biology and going to medical school.

My girl has to take it easy for a few days, though. She was unlucky enough to have injured her *right* hand, and she isn't supposed to use it for the next 2 days. I'll be taking good care of her here at home, so she can relax and heal.

13. I hope it heals well.

That's not a fun place to have an injury. (I don't know if Anyplace is a fun place, but if so, that's definitely not it.)

I'm sending some good vibes.
