My biggest pet peeve about the Live Earth concert on Saturday...
....THE CONCERT WAS NOT IN FRICKING NEW YORK CITY - WILL THEY PLEASE CALL IT WHAT IT IS - NEW JERSEY.

No wonder everyone from New Jersey has such a complex about their state. At least when we have something in Delaware we're not confused with the 2 major cities near our state - Philadelphia and Baltimore.

1. That was confusing. I agree but Bon Jovi
corrected that! But You Tube is still saying it was NYC.

3. I didn't realize it either until Bon Jovi spoke up.
I think even NBC was saying NYC!

5. Well the Meadowlands is home to the NEW YORK Giants
If I was from New Jersey I'd be pissed. I remember when Camden tried to sell the Philadelphia Eagles on building their new park over in Camden NJ. The season ticket owners all threatened to boycott if they had to go to New Jersey to see their Pennyslvania team play.

A space was promptly found next door to the old stadium in South Philly

6. See now you understand why we are all so fiercely protective of our state...
if we didn't look out for it, New York would waltz right in and steal the whole damn thing! I listened to a bit of it on XM and felt the need to correct the idiot announcers in the privacy of my own car every time they said New York City and they were SITTING right in the Meadowlands!!! Surely they should know what state they spent an entire day in!

11. New York wouldn't steal all of New Jersey
They'd just take everything north of I195 and the rest would go to Pennsylvania

12. Lack of talent - you're fucking kidding me right?
I mean with The Police, Roger Waters, Bon Jovi, Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Matthews Band and Melissa Ethridge on the list the price of admission was well worth it. We were pleasantly suprised by Akon, AFI and Fall Out Boys (neither of us knew much about them before hand). We could have survived without Kelly Clarkson and I thought Kayne West had just phoned it in that night

14. He also closed the concert with the Police (along with Kanye West)
I think Mayer's is very talented - what the fuck was he doing fucking a no-brain talent like Jessica Simpson?

She was also pissed that she didn't get to see Melissa Etheridge's set.

20. We've been puttin'-up with that bulllshit since we passed the bill to build that Stadium.
One State Senator held up passage for 8 hours, because, he wanted the Jets & Jints to HAVE to be known as the "New Jersey Jets" ,et al.

No Biggie.
