7. Means some of us aren't just diddlin' around
when we're online at home — it's part of our job. So it isn't fair to brand us "addicted" because we spend a lot of time at the computer.

8. This thread has nothing to do with work related usage.
But since you brought it up, I wonder how many people here(who are at work) log on to du on company time?

5. If you work in an IT job, of course it's going to be more than six hours
Maybe you could have asked, other than for work - how much time do you spend on the computer.

Cheers

6. I suppose I could have been more precise, but I think the way I
worded my poll has an implied understanding that I do not mean work related usage.

17. lately not very much
I am back on a reading jag, which is worse than computering for me. Once i put my nose in a book I only come up to eat, sleep and work, until I'm finised with that book. It's way more consuming that the internet, lol. :hi:

22. Yeah, you can really get engrossed in a book, whereas you can do
many things at once on a computer.:toast:

24. yep, it's really starting to interfere with my sleeping
I take the books to bed and read them until like 5:00 in the morning...I just can't wait to find out how it ends...even if I know how it ends, like with the Scott Peterson book. I might need an intervention, lol.

Most of it is because of work but I still spend a few hours just chatting on DU or myspace and other sites like that.

20. I'm a multi-tasker...
...so I chose the last one.

It isn't really all that difficult, although my wife finds the monitor distracting...
