Is anybody else groovin' on "Flight of the Conchords?"
The dead-pan humor delivered in a kiwi accent mixed with amusing and thoughtful songs is cracking me up.

Last week's episode where they got mugged sealed it for me--the show is hilarious! :D

3. Oh isn't she?
That actress nails--NAILS that part. And Jermaine and Bret's reactions to her are priceless.

6. What's her husband's name?
Doug? Oh, I love that he just sits in the car as she totally stalks them.

2. I love their show...
and I think I watched their HBO special about 50 times. I love their songs, it's like Tenacious D for the folksy set.

4. I'll have to watch that special--I think I can get it OnDemand, or something.
I love, love, love, Entourage--but I'm really starting to look farward to the Conchords on Sunday nights.

Who knew that what cable network TV needed was a musical. Or, conversely what I needed was a cable tv netwrok show to make me appreciate musicals!

5. If I could put Showtime and HBO together..
then I would feel okay about paying for it. Al Ive watched on HBO is Sex and the City, Mr. Show, and Lucky Louie (which they cancelled because it was awesome), and on Showtime just Penn & Teller's Bullshit. As it stands we download almost everything and just scrapped the channels because they seem to just play the same crap movies all day. If that's changed please let me know.

7. Well, sorta....I'm gettin' drilled by Comcast, but
Their selling point is "On Demand" where you get menus of stuff that you can watch whenever you feel like it. If you pay for a premium channel you can watch most of their lineup whenever you want, movies, series, whatever. The HBO lineup I watch more movies on Demeand than I do off their schedule--for instance Star Wars episode IV Saturday Morning before I went out paddling.

They also have about 150 movies that you can pick from at ony one time (for free) plus the new releases.

This feature is kinda cool, but I am paying close to $90 a month for it! So that kinda hurts. But I don't really have any other expensive vices so I splurge for the TV.

But I see where you are coming from for sure.

And on a side note--I thought Lucky Louie got picked for a second season--am I wrong?

8. Yeah...
Sadly I'm all too fsmiliar with "Lucky Louie" so I do know it's cancelled... but if you see any other shows that seem sgainst the grain it may be the same people, so there's that at least.

9. I love Fight of the Conchords!
It's also great to see intimate NYC, from the streets.

I have been looking forward to this series ever since I first heard their ode to boring (but comforting) married sex, Business Time, about a year ago.

10. Yes!
I think the show is absolutely hilarious. Deadpan and sarcastic humor will always make me laugh the hardest. Also, Bret is hot.

11. The show's website
describes Jermaine as "having a bold look, like an ogre who works in a library."

The deadpan line "yes, actaully" in the episode "mugged" just about made me choke on my diet root beer!

12. "Yes, actually"...
...isn't really that funny out of context...

What was the entire dialog?

I need to watch Episode 4 tonight On Demand. I missed it when it was actually on because I was watching Subterranean, then from 11-12 I watched various On Demand things until midnight, then I watched John from Cincinnati On Demand (I always miss the 9:00 airing because I'm listening to my favorite radio program, The Bottom Forty, from 8-10 PM) and then went upstairs to read/listen to music.

15. Love it!
Those nerdy (but cute) Kiwis crack me up. Their manager is such a tool! Comparing Bret's new girlfriend to all the Yoko Ono sterotypes was hysterical.
