2. baby can rip off diaper...
and make big mess?

Personally, I used to let little MB sleep in a diaper all the time - she is a June baby and it was so hot the summer she was born.

24. Parenthood demands a strong stomach.
I'm telling you, a kid will leave you absolutely immune to the gruesome.

Material Girl was 3 or 4 days old and I looked down while I had her on the changing table. I was wearing a cotton robe that snapped up the front(called a "duster" by imaginative ad agencies) picked out by my mother, light blue slip on tennies with a splash of baby poo on them, and my hair was dirty because I hadn't had a shower since I'd left the hospital because my C section made it impossible to lift my legs high enough to step into the tub.

It was NOT exactly the image of beautific motherhood, nor was it even remotely close to attractive...

Oh yes, a gross picture is NOTHING compared to the sights and smells of parenthood.

6. I have had the same experience
After 18 months, I have figured out it is Mrs Gtrman's perrogative to rip my ass over anything I do in regards to taking care of the baby. It may be fine one time and a capital offense the next. Or, something that is a no-no for me to do is perfectly fine for her to do

you can't win this one :(

8. when my daughter was cutting her first tooth there were many times she fell
asleep wearing only a diaper, normally she'd have a onesy on but for about a week she'd would just conk out and i would put her in the crib sans clothes--she was fine, well except for the explosive diarrhea. This almost 13 year old has the immune system of an ox, she almost never gets sick.

14. Same here - my 13 month old is like a little oven
So if he's not in just a t-shirt and diaper, I'll have in him a thin short jammie set - with a fan blowing on him, in a house that has the AC set in the low 70s.

I guess I'm a bad mother

25. I was thinking the same thing
My second is seven months now, and I'd just like to get him to sleep any way I can. He's like a little jack-in-the-box. Or if I had a mallet, a little whack-a-mole game (just kidding). Anyways, he's been sleeping in just a diaper these last few days. He's just as hot and miserable as the rest of us.

18. I put mine to bed in a diaper only last night..
Hes going to be 2 next month... went into get him this morning and he had his diaper off, poo flung everywhere. AAAgh.. that was gross. But when he was younger I put him to bed in his diaper only since he was born in August. As long as you cover him up and make sure theres no cold drafts he should be fine :)

19. I'll bet you don't even boil each bottle after each time it is touched
Now do ya!?!?!?

I don't know about the diaper thing but generally one parent goes ape-shit sanitary conscience and the other is joe slacker. I think we know which category both of us are in.

I was told about why they need to have clothes on but I forgot it.

22. It's July where you are, right? Tell wife babies don't generally freeze in northern hemisphere now.
Most wee ones get cranky and don't sleep well if they are too warm, and it is easy for them to be too warm in July.

Get her some info about how fast the metabolism is at daughter's age... LOTS of heat produced ;)

23. My daughter wore just a diaper to sleep in.
She's a June baby and that's how she slept. The first month she wore a t shirt but cried because she was so hot.

I remember having a ton of cute outfits for her that she hardly wore because she was always so hot. She spent most of her days in a vest, socks and a diaper. If we left the house she had a very thin sheet covering her pumpkin seat just to keep the sun off of her.

To this day she prefers to sleep in panties and nothing else. In the late spring and early autumn it's a tank and panties, in the summer it's just panties and she keeps a robe at the end of her bed to cover up when she gets out of bed. She has extra large t shirts for early spring and late autumn and flannel pants and long underwear tops that she's decorated for winter.
