Was it pinned at the top of some forum?

Congratulations, whoever and wherever you are!

PM me the luscious details if you have time -- or link me to the thread (I guess it's gone, too).

7. Hi, Big Will. I guess I was gullible. You can call this Gullible's Travels.
Or travails, whatever.

Thanks for the information.

4. Anyone who can confirm this information? Or will I fling this thread on the dungheap?

Maybe it was Mabus? She isn't tombstoned.

I'm confused, but that may not be anyone's fault. I'll just let it go this morning.

Hyperlinked to my journal for wider distribution. Mabus wrote this with NO apologies to Abraham Lincoln.

Mabus (1000+ posts) Wed Jun-27-07 06:30 PM Edited on Wed Jun-27-07 06:34 PM by Mabus

Six years and millions of posts ago Skinner brought forth on this internet a new forum, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all netizens are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether this forum, or any forum, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of this thread, as a final resting place for those who here who gave of themselves that that this forum might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate — we cannot consecrate — we cannot hallow — this forum. The brave netizens, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we've posted here, but it can never forget what we have accomplished because of this forum.

It is for us liberal posters, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored posts we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these threads shall not have been posted in vain — that this forum, under Skinner (Elan and EarlG), shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

Congratulations to Mabus from this editor's desk.
