Should I send a sympathy email?
I just found out my cousin's grandmother passed away a few weeks ago. No one called to let me know and I just found out this AM from my brother.
Should I send my cousins an email now and a card later today or just wait and send the card?

1. When my cousins Gran died I emailed straight away.
Personally I think that when it comes to such things good manners etc are secondary to the fact that you want the person to know you care and are thinking of them, and you want them to know RIGHT NOW!
I don't like to send cards such as sympathy cards purely for good manners. If you're not making contact because you care but due to a sense of decorum, don't send a card, it doesn't mean anything.
If you simply want to reach out it doesn't matter how you do it, just that you do.

2. Thanks
Yes, I want them to know I care. I'll send them an email and call my uncle tonight.
