8. I'm actually making mashed potatoes instead of cooking the potatoes in the crockpot.
I'm considering adding some sliced yellow and orange peppers, too, although it'd probably be better if I sauteed them.

I LOVE mashed potatoes...swooooooon. I have some peppers in the fridge so I will try to stay "good" and make my roasted peppers soup.

7. Much better, thanks!
The dentist I went to yesterday is new to the practice, but he was great. He did a terrific job with the crown prep and he made probably the most comfortable temporary crown I've ever had. My gums are a bit sore (when the tooth cracked, it cracked at the gumline), but I can chew! And what's more, I can chew comfortably! :D

11. This particular tooth had had a root canal but had not been crowned yet, so it was fragile.
I was eating a butter mint at the time it cracked. I went into the dentist the following week and had it bonded to prevent further damage until I could get in yesterday for the crown prep.

I only have two cavities and I never had to wear braces. I guess I've been pretty lucky in the tooth dept.

I was only born with two upper wisdom teeth and I had them extracted last summer, after many years of suggestions from my dentist. They weren't causing any problems, per se, but they were hard to brush and a prime area for decay, hence the preventative measures. Since they were already "erupted", as they put it, it was a relatively easy deal. I kept the teeth, for some bizarre reason, and they are really trippy looking, lemme tell ya! They are some big-ass teeth!

Glad you're doing better. Watch out for those butter mints. :D

6. You have to give me your recipe!
I've never done it in a crock pot, but I'd like to. Could you pretty please give me your recipe and how long you cook it, etc?

9. No recipe - I'm not even sure how big the roast is. I'd guess about four pounds.
I put it in the crock pot, added some beef broth and chunks of sweet onion, and set it on low for 8 hours. It should be tender enough to fall apart by then.

12. I totally love using my crockpot!
The only problem I have is sampling it while it's cookin'.

13. The whole house smells delicious, but it won't be done for a couple of hours at least.
My appetite is quite healthy, though - I'm much hungrier than I usually would be this time of day (3:30)!

I was really in the mood for a roast, but of course, I didn't want to heat up the conventional oven.

17. It's supper time at the alpern horse but I haven't started anything yet.

I love pot roast but I never make roast beef because I only like it when it's very rare. Everyone else around here like it med to done so Roast Beef isn't on the menu here.

15. That's the problem with cooking with a crock pot.
It smells so good all day long, and it's torture. But, it's worth it when it's done. :9

16. I hope so.
I wish I'd thought of making a loaf of bread earlier. Even if I use the breadmaker, it takes three hours. Wouldn't THAT be the combination of aromas, though?

I have a ton of blueberries, so I'm trying to decide what sort of blueberry-based dessert to make.
