Woman fighting to fly flag upside down
WHEAT RIDGE – A woman is fighting for her right to fly the American flag as she sees fit outside of her home.
Since March, Beth Hammer has been flying the United States flag upside down as a protest to the war in Iraq.
He homeowner's association wants her to take the flag down, saying she is violating the political expression code of conduct. The HOA held a meeting on the issue on Wednesday, but did not make a ruling.

Hammer's attorney, Mari Newman, says the debate over the flag is a basic free speech issue.

1. I saw a quick report on this on CBS.
They interviewed some reich-winger good ole boy who said people like her should just leave and go live in another country. WTF? Is dissent not tolerated in a democracy you p.o.s.? Anyhow, she said that an upside down flag means distress and to her the country is in distress. I agree.
