Rock stars who have died of cancer

George Harrison, Beatles

Carl Wilson, Beach Boys

Joey Ramone, the Ramones

Eric Griffiths, the Quarrymen (a pre-Beatles group. OK, so he’s not exactly a rock star.)

Any others?

18. Nat King Cole was a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and
died of lung cancer. He smoked cigarettes before his recording sessions because he thought it made his voice deeper and richer.

22. He was more of a country star, but Eddie Rabbitt died of cancer.
Edited on Thu Jul-12-07 02:20 PM by borlis
Lung cancer to be exact. He never smoked either. It was secondhand smoke from all the smokey bars and nightclubs. Not only was he a great performer, but a great writer as well. He wrote for many others including Elvis' "Kentucky Rain" which is a great song.
