Mini and Micro car show in Newton MA this weekend
A buddy of mine sent me this link last night. It just so happens I'll be up there this weekend for my daughters college orientation.

http://www.bubbledrome.com/mm_home.htm
Highlights include…

A wide array of really unusual, eccentric microcars and minicars including Isettas, Fiats, Crosleys, Goggomobiles, Messerschmitts, Vespas, Lloyds, NSU Prins', Hondas, Subarus, and others!
Extremely rare and exotic microcars, including a Brutsch Mopetta (in 2000), any number of Messerschmitt Kabinenrollers, a Kleinschnittger F125, a Peel Trident (!), Victoria or a Fuji Cabin. Bring your cameras!
We gave rides in the microcars! Guests experienced the sights, sounds and the delightful smell of two strokes, rather than just admiring the finish of the show cars! It really is a very family-friendly event.
The local Nash Metropolitan club!

1. I've wanted a Daihatsu Midget ever since I unlocked one on Gran Turismo 4.

edit- I'm glad microcars are gaining a following, sice it seems most classic car enthusiasts usually flock toward muscle cars and the like.

3. Cool!
When I visited the Rock & Roll Hall of fame, they had one of the Trabants from U2's "One" video hanging in the main lobby. I was amazed at how tiny it was, and that was a sedan.

I think the Europeans and Japanese had a novel idea, but there's no way cars that size would have flown in the States.

4. Don't let the Trabi fool you.
The German government has been activley trying to get rid of these things.

Hell, they have two stroke engines that belch blue smoke all over the place.

The material they used to make the body of the car has to be disposed of in a specail manner because burning it would crate some very, very nast fumes.
