Looks like I'm getting a new fridge — for free!

They're gonna replace it because it's more than 15 years old and thus uses twice the energy of a newer one. They're also gonna insulate my windows and doors and stuff, all for free. :7




I just can't shake the feeling that I've been royally had in a well-engineered scam. Ah, the price of cynicism.

2. For all the valid complaints about ole P G & E, the one strength is energy-reduction programs.

We've benefitted from several appliance rebates over the years. You'll love how much money you'll save with a new fridge. When we replaced the old 15 cubic ft with a new 18 cubic ft model our bill went down by $10 a month.

i've heard of the state grant programs for weatherization, but this is better coming directly from the electric company, and for free.
