1. You look awesome!
Did you buy that on-line?
One of my partners would love something like that.
I lurk here most times and always come across your picture.
YOu are a real nice looking lady!
Tell your partner they have some competition.
(Just kidding)

In a minute, I'll post the link to his original thread today that had a couple of close-ups of the pendant!

Aside from the lovely workmanship (and how happy you look), it's nice to get an idea of the size of the pendant, etc...

11. The turquoise is from the Ithica Peak Mine.
One of the characteristics of Ithica Peak Turquoise is the presence of pyrite in the matrix, or if you will, host rock. Once the stone is shaped and polished the pyrite looks gold or in this case silver and is a component of the "cabochon" or domed turquoise stone.

19. They have a store in Kingman Az that sells turquoise from the Kingman mine complex
I will try to find a link.
I know a couple of reputable dealers, or try this site (more expensive).

www.nevadagem.com

Look for Kingman (Ithica Peak is a part of the Kingman mining complex), and Morenci. These mines produce turquoise with pyrite.

but i 'longed' (no pun intended) to throw it up into a ponytail once again. it's so much fun - but the tradeoff is the time it takes to blow dry.

Would you like me to make one for you? Be aware that every casting is different but I will use quality turquoise (Southwestern U.S. turquoise of course) and make it the same overall size, roughly 3" from tail to bail. Let me know your price range and I will let you preview the turquoise stone I will use. Bottom range would be $85 for good mid grade turquoise, to OH MY GOD-YOUR-KIDDING for higrade rare turquoise like red vien Candalaria, or Lavender Pit Bisbee Blue,
