TWO!! weeks with no computer

Can we please have a moment of silence for my old computer. It died. I tried desperately for two weeks to get it up and running, but to no avail - a few glimmers of home, but alas, it was not to be.

I would like to throw it off the balcony, but I still have hope of retreiving my files. (Bad YVR Girl for not backing up.)

The good new, laptop prices have come down a lot in the last 6 years.

So, fill me in. What's going on?

p.s. I miss my scroll buttons on my old computer. :sigh:

I was using Windows ME before. It's so old and bad, that it's not even supported anymore.

4. I just did the same thing...

but I was gone on vacation. My computer died the week before vacation, so I uninstalled and reinstalled everything. Fortunately, by some weird chance, all of my photos were saved on the reinstsall. But this ol' laptop is definitely on its last leg. :(

What kind of laptop did you get? I'm typing on my laptop right now, that's held together by JB Weld. I'm going to have to invest soon.

It's a Toshiba which is what I had before. It's a just past model, so I got it on sale. (Didn't really want to spend any money on a computer just now. Oh, well.)

Well........I"m going back to school, to learn how to write poetry better than I do now!

My husband and I went to Europe for 3 weeks, and had a ball!
