I heard some loud noises and thought someone was breaking in. I have no idea what it was, but the cats seem unphased.
Now I'm wide awake.
Bleh.

I think it was either gunshots or firecrackers. I had fans running so I'm not sure which. It was enough to spook me and I don't spook easily out here. :(

6. It's not my gallbladder at all |
|
it's a duadenal (sp?) ulcer. Must be all the ibuprofin I was taking by the handful when I broke my arm. Always something, huh?

Yikes....a duodenal ulcer....
I hope it's small enough that you don't need surgery.......
I'm not familiar with the treatment for those....
Any nsaid will cause that sort of thing if taken in excess.......
Get better, sweetie......

9. My insurance company is disputing everything as |
|
pre-existing. I didn't have health coverage for 18 months before this job.
Anyway, I can't afford to pay the full office visit and until the insurance company decides to quit screwing with my life, I'll be taking benedryl and tylenol. Doesn't work well, but it'll have to do.
I *love* Lunesta. I used my last sample over the weekend.

14. Wait. You have a job... |
|
and have to deal with "pre-existing"? I don't remember that part from Sicko. Anyway, Ambien just (within the last month) went Generic. Now it's Zolpidem or something.

15. Insurance companies can go after you on pre-existing |
|
Edited on Thu Jul-12-07 11:03 PM by lizziegrace
if you haven't had insurance up to the day you switch over to another company's policy. I was uninsured for 18 months prior to taking my current job.
So far, every office visit has been challenged and they've requested my entire medical record from my doctor...

16. But I thought when you get a new job... |
|
it wipes the slate clean? If not, it should. I was uninsured before taking my last position and once I was hired, it was covered. No questions.

17. I have Anthem/Blue Cross |
|
and on my application, I had to disclose pre-existing conditions. A few weeks later I was sent a letter informing me that they would not treat me for these conditions for one full year. Nice huh?
Do you remember in Sicko the woman who didn't disclose she'd had a yeast infection in the past to her insurance company? This situation is almost that ridiculous.

and then I remember Lucy. I honestly did!
If a cat doesn't get upset by an earthquake, what's someone kicking in the back door?

19. Don't you hate when that happens? |
|
The other day it was girly-poo's speaker falling off her desk at the crack o' dawn. That was it, though.
If the cats are fine and you've strolled through...I wouldn't worry about it. Easier said than done, huh?
Okay...watch the pretty shiny thingie. You're getting sleeeeeeepy. Veeerrrrryyy sleeeeeeeepy.
No?
Good...stay and play for a while, then.
