Live Aid was 22 years ago? Yikes
Time really flies when the years go by.

I remember seeing most of it, but I didn't stay glued to the TV. I was at a small party and we were doing some jamming. When someone good was on we would stop and watch. I only remember small bits and pieces.

What do you remember about it?

2. Sitting in my grandmother's apartment because she had
cable and I could watch MTV. She let me stay in the bedroom all day - stopping in every couple of hours to ask if I was hungry and watch a little with me.

My grandmother was too cool for her own self - she spoke no english and yet she took me to see the Rolling Stones at Madison Sqaure Garden in 1981 - I was 12.

4. I was in D.C. on vacation with my parents.
I still remember listening to it on the radio in the car, and watching the big finish on TV in the hotel room. And now with the wonders of technology, I'm collecting a comprehensive DVD set of ALL the performances, interviews, etc. from that day (instead of the selected performances on the official release).

8. I ran a tape before I left home that day
I wonder if I can find it. I know it had some stuff on there that wasn't released.

5. Not much. I was busy raising five children and doing my radio job.
What was the year? 1975? I had a five-day a week radio program and a very busy life with my merged family.

I sort of remember seeing it, but that may be due to TV retrospectives I've seen in the years since.
