With all of the stress of my Dad's illness, I haven't really had a moment to think about it. Yikes!

Dress- Check
License- Check
Permit- Check
Meeting with officiant- Check
Rings- Check
Vows- Not done, doing today
Suit- Needs to be picked up today

Whew! Jeebus give me the strength to get through the next 26-7 hours or so in one piece! And let's hope that Dad stays stable and comfortable through it all, so I don't have to worry about that. No cell phones at the ceremony! No bad news!

My hubby (to be) left on a business trip Sunday after we had decided to "fuck it, let's just do it"

he was in Dallas and I put the wedding together in 4 days.

Dress & matching shoes- check
appt with courthouse marriage peeps check
flowers for bride check
tie for groom than matched bride's flowers check
work schedule change so wedding could happen check

I was a wreck, at first - I had all my lists in a folio and kept screwing them up. Finally, after putting on the dress, I just chucked the lists and let the day handle the worst of it. The day turned out fine except for the case of 1) the unlit sanctuary candles and 2) the mysteriously disappearing cake service set, but all in all, it just flowed due to the earlier prep.

Anyway, you'll be a beautiful bride, I'm sure, and I know you will treasure the day. Relax and have a great time with all the family and friends and newly-minted spousal unit who love you. It's a special day. Hugs to you. :-)
