I want to shoot a bird
It keeps chirping. And not the pretty, morning dove-type background noise. Like nails on a chalkboard chirp. Right outside my door. When I open the door, he flies away. When I sit back on the couch, he flies back.

And starts chirping.

Yep, she's a bit mean looking, ok down right ugly but smart. She loves our garage..nothing lives in the garage but the Terra.
Right now shes in a staring contest with the angelfish in the aquarium.

6. Here's my gripe about birds and cats:
I love all living things. O.K., so I'm scared (and hate) of snakes and spiders.

I used to think that birds were "spiritual" and that birdbaths were rustically purty.

O.K., so my dogs DON'T BOTHER NOBODY----cats, birds, mailmen--------nobody. So their water dish is THERE. And we (all of us) wouldn't mind if the birds would just drink out of it. But they drink, BATHE, DROP FEATHERS, DROP SHIT!!1

So I have to change the water several times per day. SO. I don't *heart* birds.

AND, as for the singing: Fine. But the damned songbirds that sing TWENTY FOUR FUCKING HOURS PER DAY!!1

11. Ugh, just try bird/dogsitting...
I am doing both for my mom who is at the beach this week. Her parakeet is a chirpy guy CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP and SQUAWK! and oh yeah he can imitate sounds, like the smoke detector, which went off once for a fire in the fireplace and now he does that too:BEEP! Plus my mom's dog is a crazy sheltie who barks when the birds chirps and the bird EGGS THE DOG ON.

So I have had to listen to the following this week:CHIRP CHIRP BEEP BEEP SQUAWK ARF ARF ARF SQUAWK ARF BEEP SQUAWK CHIRP ARF BEEP...you get the picture.

I've been a 49er fan since the glorious 1980-81 season (my sister, Bullwinkle925, lives in the Bay Area, and I am a shameless copycat!)

I hope your bird problem resolves itself quietly and peacefully!

at that time, we had 4 parakeets and 2 parrots. So it wasn't just the outdoor birds I was hearing. I can work through the sounds of birds. :-)

33. I'm glad that you're getting the help you need
I'm not trying to put you in any type of box. In fact, I had never noticed you before this week. First, defending sexual predators and now wanting to kill a bird. Frankly, I find it disturbing.

I'm glad you're getting help. Seriously.

34. Thanks, Proles.
I appreciate your disingenous relief.

"Defending" is of course an attempt to put me in a box. If you actually read my OP, I was very concerned for the families of the so-called predators. Their lives are absolutely ruined, by something that may or may not have happened.

The refrain to that seems to be "oh well, said predator should have thought about that before blah blah blah"...I find that weirdly cold and fucked up. Drop the righteousness for 10 seconds and imagine being his daughter.

Arrest the perv? Fine. Airing the trainwreck? Ratings.

35. Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'
