1) I was bitten by ONE red ant yesterday and my hand is swollen like a super hero, named big ass hand.
2) There were hornets nests all over my porch yesterday. So, I go out there with a stick and knock them down. Some of them were the dirt kind which you really have to knock to get them. So I did. However, to my surprise, not only did hornets come out, but also many spiders in each one. Weird, big, colorful, dead, fat spiders. I love living in the boonies.
So, how was your day?

...we had a sparrow fly down our chimney...the only way to get him out was to open the damper...he/she immediately jetted out, covered with soot, and proceeded to do the ping-pong thing off our freshly painted walls..for about 20 minutes before we could shoo the little soot bomb out of the house...I've got some touch-up to do...
Not as painful as your swollen hand, however.
