Is it possible for petty people to be happy and content? |
|
Yes, a copycat topic, but also a valid topic of discussion. I know people who seem determined to be miserable, and it's no coincidence all the people I know who are petty could be described that way.

3. I have a friend like that. |
|
He wallows in his misery. I think on some level it is a comfort zone for him, but nonetheless, he does nothing to try and pick himself up.
It gets tiring to listen to all the 'woe is me' stuff.
On the other hand, he is pretty petty because I think he subscribes to the 'misery loves company' school of thought. You know the kind. The person who is right there to hold your hand when something goes wrong until the next crisis comes about and she has to fix that one.
I actually have a pretty funny story about two people I know like that. PM me if you want to hear it. I'm not comfortable posting the details.
