Has anyone in Hollywood heard of birth control?
Okay, there's a thread here about Shar Jackson supposedly being pregnant with another K-Fed spawn (oh, boy), Nicole Richie is apprently pregnant, it seems like every other week, I hear of some celebrity or another being "surprised" by a pregnancy....

Seriously, do none of these people practice any form of birth control? :wtf:

1. They can afford it, they can work around it, and apparently they want kids.
Anyhow, everyday people get "surprised" all the time too. Birth control isn't 100% unless you're sterilized surgically or not getting any.

2. Oh, I know all about being surprised
I got pregnant with all three of my kids on three different forms of birth control (my obstetrician told me I was built like a brood mare - he meant it as a compliment :eyes: ).

I just find it hard to believe that some of these people want kids at this stage in their life and I also find it hard to believe that they're all surprised while using birth control.

Christ, obviously no one has any sense of humor left around here. The bye-bye kid seems to have sucked it all dry.

5. ANd not just once
over and over again. The mind boggles.

When I hear about stuff like this I start to think of the movie "Idiocracy" as prophetic. Scary thought.

9. I know....
Bill Maher had a line in his book that went like this:

"We should stop bitching about Britney smoking while she's pregnant. It's a little late to be worrying about DNA when half of it is Kevin Federline's."

I thought it was funny.

6. This is not a Hollywood problem
It's a stupid people problem and they are everywhere.

The only one I'll comment on is Shar Jackson - she's an idiot of the highest level.

7. If Hollywood Kids didn't have sex irresponsibly...
Where would the next generation of pop stars and trust fund babies come from?

They're doing God's work, don't you know?

8. It's the trendy thing to do now in Hollywood...
As long as someone has the means to care for their kids, I have no problem with it.

Except, K-Fed is the perfect example for government sterilization. That is just irresponsibility run rampant.

11. Quite a few people don't like condoms
(not saying that's an excuse but they'll give it as a reason). So why not take something? In a field where size really does matter-dress size at least-it might not be the best thing to take a pill or a shot. They gain 10-15 pounds from Depo and that size 0 right off the bus gets the role they coveted.

At least I think that's probably how they see it. And unless you've been pregnant before you really don't think it'll happen to you until it's your time to pee on a stick. (Shar Jackson has no excuse-probably hoping that if she gets pregnant by K-Fed this time he'll have the money for child support since he probably got a good settlement)

16. But seriously...
How many stars do you see with more than 2 or 3 kids unless they're adopted?

This isn't the segment of society we need to focus on for overbreeding & lack of condems and birth control, imo.

17. Exactly.
They have one and that tends to be it. Some want more and have more than one (a younger one as an example is Reece Witherspoon.) Most stop at one, possibly because they want to devote their time and attention to just one or because they see the effects of childbirth on their bodies and figure if they still want a career they should stop. (Not saying anything bad about childbirth since I have a child but in size 0 obsessed Hollywood...)

Shar Jackson is a rarity in that scene. Nicole Ritchie was mentioned earlier. I think she'll have her one-maybe another much later in the game, though I suspect she'll stop after this one.

This is a population that I'm not too worried about. They have the means and they tend to learn how to find the time. (Most of them do, at least.) I'd be worried about the teenager in the town that ran Planned Parenthood off more than the Hollywood starlet club.
