Woody Guthrie - Born 95 Years Ago Today
All you fascists are bound to lose!

Do yourself a favor: If you haven't read his autobiography Bound For Glory, do so NOW. You won't regret it.

2. Shame they cut out that one line in his song. Really changes the meaning,
or at least adds an important warning.

6. In "This Land Is Your Land"
There is a line saying, "I saw a sign there, it said 'No Trespassing', and on the other side, it said nothing/That side was made for you and me."

4. My cat Woody says happy birthday to his namesake.
Found him hitchhiking on the side of the road and figured that he was a hard traveler just like ol Woody.

9. Wanted to add that Woody the cat was found not far from the
old 'Lincoln Highway.'

'I been walking that Lincoln Highway- I though you knowed
I been kicking that 66 waaaay on down the road
Got a heavy load and a worried mind looking for a woman that's hard to find
And I been having some hard traveling lord'

7. Thanks for the welcome.
Yeah, the private property line is one of my favorites.
One of my other favorites is the line from Pretty Boy Floyd that goes, "I never saw an outlaw drive a family from their homes..."

8. I took this pic last night thinking of Woody and didn't know it was his birthday
One of the many places he rambled to, wrote songs about and helped his fellow man
