Watching Vicar of Dibley Christmas show.

Hilarious!

I love Vicar of Dibley. Dawn French is a comedic genius.

18. have you seen "Last of the Summer Wine" ?
it is not as bawdy and insane as Vicar of Dibley and Father Ted but it does make me laugh out loud.

It's in another class all on its own - absolutely some of the funniest stuff I have ever watched on TV.

15. When their vicar passed away in the middle of a service
the inhabitants of the small Oxfordshire village of Dibley expected his replacement to be another old man with a beard, a Bible and bad breath.

Instead, they got a babe with a bob-cut and a magnificent bosom.

I loves me some Geraldine Boadicea Granger. :loveya:

Kidding. Love all the British comedies are evidenced by the pile in my family room and the lack of $$$$ in my checking account.

The Easter episode was able to take a really sad moment on the show and turn it into a hilarious gag with that whole Easter Bunny thing. I'm thinking I need to bust out those DVDs again

34. I agree with you.
They worked a poignant story seamlessly into what's essentially a farce. But that's the way Richard Curtis does things.

Favorite moments from that episode: ANYTHING that Owen says. "Any more and we could stage a production of bloody 'Watership Down.'"

38. Quite true about Richard Curtis...
case in point, the whole 4th season of Blackadder...which IMHO is on par with the best script writing in television history.

32. I found a choral arrangement of the lovely theme song and had my church choir
sing it one Sunday morning. I wondered if anyone in the congregation would recognize it--nobody said anything to me.
