Remember that scene in 40 year old virgin where Steve Carrell's getting his chest waxed? The classic, full-volume string of obscenities? That was me on the inside.

This one was much bigger than my existing tat (got a lotus flower to surround the existing chinese character), and it's a color piece, so there was THAT to sit through.

But it's done, and it looks purty, and I'll post a pic in a day or two after the swelling goes down.

3. It's the Chinese character for dragon.

It's also (like a lot of Chinese characters) a pictograph; you can see the dragon's head in the upper left quadrant, and the tail in the lower right. It's my chinese astrological sign, as well as a symbol of luck and power.

I speak pretty good Japanese, and it sometimes bugs me if people don't know (or even worse--get a butchered kanji) what the kanji means :)
