I think I'm the only lawyer (much less person) alive who's never seen "Law and Order" |
|
I even lost valuable prizes at the 3L party because I couldn't answer trivia questions about that show. You'd think I'd watch it because of Chris Noth, but nope.

3. You haven't missed much |
|
Having watched brief excerpts from a few episodes of "Law and Order", I can assure you that you haven't missed anything. "Perry Mason" was better in every way.

6. Something else's being better doesn't preclude it from being good. |

8. Sure. Contrasting it with Perry Mason is 100% irrelevant. |

5. Never watched it either |

I hear a lot of people talk about it though.
It might well be a fine show, just have too many other things going on :)

10. Well, it's only half a law show |
|
At least in its original form. The first half is standard cop stuff. Still, it was novel in that most criminals don't immediately confess to the cops like they used to do in say, Dragnet.
I've always found it entertaining. The prosecutors enter in the second half hour and have to deal with LEO fuck-ups and/or increasingly novel defense theories.
The Jerry Orbach years (274 episodes, 1991-2004) were the best.

12. I'm a rising 2L who has never seen a full episode. |
|
It may have been on in the background at some point, but it's never done anything for me.
(Then again...I'm apparently one of a very few people in my class who does not have unrealistic expectations about what lawyering is. Hm....)

14. Once you've taken Evidence, L&O completely sucks. |
|
However, that being said, watching Vincent Donofrio go completely apeshit on L&O:CI is totally worth the cost of admission.
