4. You're most welcome
It was my hope to provide a moment of beauty and peace in the midst of all the craziness we're dealing with these days. Hang in there.

9. ....spoiled seconds later by some arsehole in a power-boat water-skiing on the lake...
...and then, suddenly the Loch Ness monster, who was on holiday, leapt out of the water and swallowed the water-skier whole...leaving nothing but the rope trailing behind the boat...the pilot of the boat hadn't seen Nessie making off with the skier and turned around to see why the boat wasn't pulling as hard...as he craned his neck this way and that he didn't notice that the boat was rapidly approaching the shore....it was too late when he saw the rocks and slammed into them at top speed....luckily he was thrown clear of the wreckage as it burst into flames and slowly sank into the lake...thanking his lucky stars the battered and bruised survivor slowly stood up and turned to face the lake...as he looked into the lake he noticed a strange reflection...it was very, very tall, and extremely hairy...and very similar in appearance to Sasquatch...it also appeared to be standing right behind him...he slowly turned to look, and the last thing that went through his mind as two hairy hands grabbed his head and started to twist was..."I wonder if I left the stove on?"

As peace and quiet quickly returned to the lake a squirrel stopped in his tracks and turned to the owl that had been watching all this unfold and said, "Now there's something you don't see every day."

10. Good story, but there are no powerboats allowed on this lake.
:) I've very seldom seen even a canoe. It really is this quiet most of the time, although usually there's a breeze making little ripples in the water.
