13. I usually wear my workout clothes to the gym
so it's not likely I'll forget my shirt. I have, in the past, forgotten to bring clean socks or underwear to wear after my shower, or I've forgotten to bring a headband to keep the hair out of my face.

I hate it when I forget to bring a face cloth to wash with.

I won't go that day. Not a big deal. Sport the uniboob. I doubt anyone will notice or care.

5. no way. even when it's 100f here i won't wear shorts, the thought of me being seen
by other people with me only wearing a sports bra is nightmare inducing. People that are comfortable with their bodies--i envy them.

9. well i wouldn't think people would be overly concerned, my issue is my own body image
which is not great to be totally honest, i'm working on that.

12. they are few and far between
I had this discussion w/ a co-worker last week. She went to the gym one evening and one of the professors in our department was there, so she left. She didn't want him to see her in her workout clothes.

I asked her about it, and for her it wasn't an issue of whether or not they could maintain a professional relationship. For her it was about being self-conscious.

Now, this young lady has nothing to be self-conscious about. She's got a great figure. She's not too tall, nor too short. She's got curves in all the right places, and everything is in very good proportion.

I guess it turns out that most of us have body image issues.

As for me, I know that to some people I look ridiculous in my workout clothes. I don't care. I'm there and that's what is important. If I don't go to the gym, I'll end up looking more ridiculous, and I'll end up a whole lot less healthy and I'm not willing to let that happen.

15. but she has a valid reason
I would never put on a bathing suit at a company picnic. I just think wearing certain things, like a bathing suit, in front of your work peers crosses a line of formality that I am uncomfortable with. It really has nothing to do with body image.
To each his/her own.

If I was thinner I would definitely do it. Why not? I see woman jogging in sports bras every day.

17. I said yes
I might be self conscience at first, but my gym is usually crowded with people of all shapes and sizes and it would be a bit vain to assume anyone there cared if I had a t-shirt on or not. Many women go to the gym with workout pants/shorts and a sports bra so it wouldn't look inappropriate.

Besides, the last thing I need is one more excuse to not workout. If I take the time to drive to the gym, then I'm not leaving until I get in at least 20 minutes. Otherwise it's just a waste of money and time.

But then again, if I could talk around the city in a bra on a hot day, I would.

19. Yes
but im a guy.

I rarely go to the gym, I prefer to run outdoors, but when its too cold I go. And I really dont care what other people are wearing or what I look like. Im going to be pretty hot and sweaty anyway, and I tend to zone out and not look at others when I run.

20. Yup. I've worked out in just a sports bra before.
Mine don't look "bra like" - no hooks or anything. They're pullover, racer-back style in all kinds of colors.

25. I wear my workout clothes to the gym so not an issue for me. But I personally wouldn't
do it. However, ask me again when I lose another 50 lbs.

26. I'm sure I probably did that years ago. Body image never bothered me that much.
I'd worry more about sweat rubbing off on the equipment and vice versa. The gross-out factor.
