Sophie Le Chat died this weekend

She was 18 going on 19...pretty decent for a cat. Was active pretty much all those years. She was a Maine Coon (and sweet cat)

Her last few years she didn't live with us, but with my sister-in-law and her bf. Sophie wasn't much of a dog or kid cat, so moving into retirement there was a good move, even if they spoiled her on wet food every day :)

When I first moved in with my then GF (now wife) she went head to head with me, but eventually we worked out a comprimise. I wouldn't taunt her when she took a poop, and she wouldn't shit in my shoes. Eventually we got to be good friends, and she learned to especially like hanging out in my lap. Especially after a bong hit (me, not her.)

Rest in peace, Sophie Le Chat...

I definitely have a soft spot for Maine Coons, I have one of my own. They're beautiful cats, and Sophie was no exception. May she rest in peace, and best wishes to you and your wife, Taverner.
