Whats going on the supper table this fine eve?
Meatless Monday here...

I'm having Split-pea soup and grilled cheese. Banana bread for afterward. Yum.

How about you? What's for supper?

7. Ya know - that is pretty much what I am having...
I use the chili lime ramen noodles though and homemade stock - but mostly identical.

Sautee some ginger & garlic, crushed red pepper flakes and/or cayenne pepper in sesame oil. Add chopped jalapeno, broccoli and any other veggies I find in the fridge (I think there is some bokchoy in there too). Add stock & noodles, Finish with some lemon juice and fresh cilantro....Yum!

9. Well, next time I plan to cook it - raw, scurrying, furry ingredients aren't quite as tasty.
The fur is difficult to pick out of the teeth too.

37. Dog did that this morning when hubby
was fixing breakfast. And there ARE some nifty frozen things out there. Mr 'pede's original suggestion was to go to Red Lobster, but I was afraid I would come back and start another 'screaming kids' thread.

24. Deli rotisserie chicken....
and a baby romaine salad.

It was supposed to be as hot as hell this week, and I was determined not to cook. I plan to mix that with deli ham and potato salad the other evenings. Plus I was out all day yesterday from late morning until evening, so I lacked the time to cook.

They changed the forecast...for the cooler. But wet.

I do that somewhat. I try to plan reuse of leftovers somehow.

I didn't do grilled cheese. I saw I had leftover mashed potatoes and fried tater/corn cakes out of them.

33. vegetables from the garden
broccoli, yellow squash, and roasted red peppers roasting in an olive oil pesto mix with some chicken thighs. We'll eat it over rice and then take a nice big long walk.

Then maybe I'll bicycle down to the pub for $4 pitcher of beer night, and hang out with gorgeous off-work waitresses all night.

Yeah, that's the ticket.
